On March 22, 2016, Shore freshmen participated in a Shakespearean theatre assembly here in the school auditorium.  Facilitated by Monmouth University student teacher, Samantha Myers, and freshmen English teachers Victoria Koontz, Cecelia Ross, Victoria Martin, and Nick Amaral, freshmen students were treated to performances of key scenes from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, an integral part of the 9th grade English curriculum. Monmouth undergrads, Megan Roberts, Samantha Truglio, Steven He, Christopher Tuttle, Angelica Ciminello, and Patrick Hall, all participants in Monmouth’s theatre programs, performed the scenes and participated in a question and answer session with the freshmen. The event concluded with student volunteers engaging in a variety of theatre and improv games and exercises.
