Season of Light at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
December 13, 2015
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is celebrating a very special time this holiday season- a time of hope and healing for children who are sick. Individuals and companies are coming together to raise awareness and show a wide love of support for CHOP. There have been an endless number of young children who served as inspiration for this touching time at CHOP. One such child was Hannah Duffy. Before a brain tumor took her life, Hannah was known for facing each day with bravery, love, and humor. One thing that she did fear was being forgotten. She loved sunbeams, so she told her loves ones that when they see light, to always think of her. Hannah was just one of the hundreds of children who were treated at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia which in turn inspired the season of light, a time that has been set aside for healing and giving honor to those children whose fight against disease inspire those around them each and every day. As you are preparing this holiday season with your family for all of your special festivities, please remember the children and their families who are spending their holiday season within the hospital walls. By making a donation for this campaign you are sharing your light, hope and healing with children who need it the most. To contribute, you may send a message of encouragement or give a donation.
