Ethan Couch, the Texas teenager whose defense claimed he suffered from “aflluenza” and was given ten years of probation after being found guilty of four counts of intoxicated manslaughter on June 15, 2013, has been found after fleeing to Mexico.  In mid- December of 2015, a video was released of Ethan at a party where alcohol appeared to be present, even though his probation called for him to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Before the police discovered the video, Ethan and his mother escaped to Mexico. However, a warrant for his arrest did not arise until Ethan violated the terms of the probation after failing to contact his probation officer. As of today, Ethan’s mother agreed to be deported back to America, but Ethan will continue to be detained in Mexico City unless his appeal does not go through.
