One Day Out: Where Do the Candidates Stand?

Mia Sweeney, Staff Writer

On Tuesday, November 8, the people of the United States will decide who will be our President for the next four years. It is a difficult decision, as this election is one of the most controversial America’s history.

Voters must navigate the stream of uncovered scandals being thrown their way every day it gets closer. The most recent scandal involving Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump and his supporters are said to be celebrating, as they have spent weeks defending their campaign. It is the most recent time that Clinton has been criticized through the media, especially since a video of Trump using suggestive language toward women was published online.

James Comey, FBI director, told lawmakers last Friday that recently uncovered emails “could be pertinent to the probe into the private server,” according to CNN Politics.

However, on Monday in Kent, Ohio, Clinton said, “I think most people have decided a long time ago what they think about all this. Now, what people are focused on is choosing the next president and commander-in-chief of the United States of America.

Trump is known for running a very atypical campaign, while Clinton is known for being more strategic. Because of this, it is expected that she will quickly move on from the email situation and continue to fight for her place in office.

Early voting data showed that millions of people have already voted in Florida and Nevada, with Democrats pushing ahead of Republicans even more-so than they did in the 2012 election.

If anything, the race for the presidency has proved that anything could change in an instant. It all comes down to every individual voter on November 8.
