Meet our February Student of the Month: Madelyn McLaughlin
April 19, 2017
Name: Madelyn McLaughlin
Grade: 11
Role Model: My role models are my parents. They have taught me everything I know about being successful in whatever I choose to do, but more importantly have taught me how to be the best person I can be. Without their unconditional love and guidance, I would not be the person that I am today.
Teacher with the most impact: The teacher who has had the most impact on me is Mr. Labush who I had for English 2 Honors and Psychology. His passion regarding psychology made it even more interesting. I am looking forward to taking AP Psychology next year. His English class was a lot of hard work but in the end, it taught me how to not only form and support my own opinions but how to articulate them to others, which is an invaluable skill.
Activities: Field Hockey, Winter and Spring Track, Recording Secretary for Student Council, Interact Club, S.A.W., Model UN, the Student Advisory Committee, and Latin club.
Future Goals/Plans: In the future, I plan on going to college and eventually working in the medical research field. I want to have opportunities to travel the world but most importantly, I want to be happy and successful.
Personal Quote: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” -Mahatma Gandhi
