Apple has given insight to the future IPhones being released this fall, such as the IPhone 8 and IPhone X, but for those who are not snatching the new phones later this fall, Apple has updated all of the previous IPhones with iOS 11.

For the IPad, this is one of the biggest and best software release for the device. One feature being added to the IPad in iOS11 is being able to work with multiple apps. Now, working with multiple apps is as easy as dragging, dropping and sliding over. A new files app is also being added to the IPad which will make accessing and organizing files easier and quicker. This central place can allow the user to put any files no matter where they are located.

Added for both the IPhone and IPad are new Augmented Reality apps. Now, the virtual world connects with the real world. Dinosaurs can roam the streets through a camera’s lense, and interactive gaming is more immersive. Photos will get a new update with loop and bounce effects. The App Store is getting a complete redesign.

One of the most common features is Siri, and with the iOS11, Siri becomes a lot more useful. She can translate and make her speech sound more lifelike with adjustments to pitch and tone. Siri also will make her experience more personal by offering suggestions based on personal usage of the IPhone pre-installed apps.

Music and Messages also are getting an update with the iOS11. Apple Pay users can pay and get paid through iMessage, making sending and receiving money more instant. Apple Music subscribers can now create playlists and share them with their friends. They can also be notified when a friend follows them on Apple Music, and when new music is released.

Apple has added and improved many features with this new software update. iOS11 can be downloaded now on the iPhone 5s or later, the iPad Mini 2 or later and the 6th generation iPod touch or later.
