SRHS supports Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

On Friday September 28th, Interact volunteers partnered with members of the Kortney Rose Foundation and Alex Munoz Foundation to raise awareness and funds for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. At the football game, Interact members helped by handing out free golden ribbons that were made prior to the game while other Interact members gathered donations from spectators. Many people were delighted to see the support these foundations were receiving and gladly accepted the golden ribbons.

Between the donations from those at the football game and the students and faculty of Shore Regional, the Kortney Rose Foundation and Alex Munoz Foundation raised approximately 500 dollars, all of which will be donated to the Children’s Brain Tumor Consortium.

Interact also received a great amount of help from other Shore Regional Clubs like Conquer Cancer Club and Shore Athletics. Together, we were able to make a contribution to a very worthy cause.
