SRHS Boys Soccer team advances to finals
November 8, 2018
Shore Regional High School Boys Soccer (Group 2) team is off to the finals! They are scheduled to play the first seeded team, Holmdel, on Thursday the 8th. A sectional win will be considered a “qualifier” to advance on to States. The past three games leading up to the finals were all won in overtime with a “golden goal” that clinched a win.
Shore played Delaware Valley in game one. Senior, Max Cameron, scored in overtime for the win. In game two against Raritan, Senior, Ryan Bongarzone scored in overtime which consequently advanced them. On November 5th, the Boys Soccer team went up against Carteret with the chance to go to the finals in their grasp. Senior, Brandon DeNovaes scored in the 87th minute of overtime to help his team move onto the finals.
The boys are determined to represent Shore Regional and create a name for their soccer team. They would appreciate if students would go and support them as they take on the Holmdel Hornets in the sectional finals!
