December Student of the Month: Francesca Antonucci

December SOTM Francesca (Frankie) Antonucci

Grace Walker, Staff Writer

Francesca (Frankie) Antonucci, a junior at Shore Regional, has just been announced the December Student of the Month. At Shore, Frankie is involved in a number of extra curriculars. She is a member of Interact, Ski Club, French Club, and is the president of SADD. Frankie spends the winter and spring seasons running hurdle races for the track team.  She is also an IB Diploma candidate. Frankie’s favorite teacher at Shore Regional is Mrs. Tranchina. She has had Mrs. Tranchina’s class for the past three years and feels that it allows her to have a safe, creative space. She was in Video Production as a freshman, Advanced Video Production as a sophomore, and IB Film as a junior. She plans to continue taking IB level classes with Mrs. Tranchina as a senior. She also feels that her classes provide her with the ability to escape from the everyday stress of high school. Frankie’s favorite thing about Shore is how small it is, because everyone knows each other and it feels like one big family.

In ten years, Frankie sees herself as a college graduate with a successful job and a family. Frankie’s role model is her mom; she admires her strength, independence, fun-loving attitude, and strong morals. Frankie also believes that she has shaped her into the person she is today. Frankie’s favorite quote is by Walt Disney. “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them”.
