The Senior Fashion Show is an annual event which helps to raise money for the graduating class. This year, held at The Renaissance in Ocean Township on October 23, 2022, the Class of 2023 strutted down the runway in style, as they showcased this year’s latest fashion trends from some of local businesses, but before we go into the fun and dedication of the staff and students, let’s take a look backstage!
Here at Shore Regional, most themes are similar, but this year instead of Blue and Silver, it was Blue and Gold. The Blue, which symbolizes Shore Pride, and the Gold which “represents a more costly gift in the Gift Auction—gold status,” recalls Meredith Secko, Class of 2023 co-adviser and co-director of the Senior Fashion Show with co-adviser Cathy DiFede. Looks like this year’s Fashion Show was based around the theme of generosity, luxury, and success, as well as “a side of magic.”
“A majority of the seniors this year showcased a little boutique called Pink Moon, a new and up-and-coming boutique. I think it’s very fashion-forward. Other than Pink Moon, however, the seniors showcased multiple boutiques, including Takwaterman, Waverles, and Rose & Root, ” Secko added.
It was magical, watching the Class of 2023 strut the runway in all different types of clothing – black tops, leather jeans, beautiful flower dresses, gorgeous white heels, cute white fluffy tops, cute small colorful handbags, dark hats, checkered bright tops and lots of other delightful items. Something for everyone.

Now with the clothes and accessories aside, let’s talk about the decor and theme of the show. Mrs. Webber helped with the decorations that were displayed at the show. There were beautiful balloon displays, creative centerpieces, and beautiful antique chairs at the table, which really tied to the theme of luxury and magic. Mrs. Lavin should also be noted for her help with the table & seating poster, which served a valuable purpose. Now, some senior class officers who strutted their stuff on the runway included Sofia DiFede, Kelly Sniffen, Sydney Shapiro, Conner Katz, and Allison Aurilo, as well as many other seniors. By the smiles on their faces, you could see they were honored and excited to showcase their vendor of choice. “All the students looked lovely in their attire; they seemed to have a really good time overall,” Ms. Secko emphasized. Overall, the seniors supported one another, had an amazing experience, and made excellent memories that will last a lifetime.
