Just as the 97th NFL season comes to an end, the New York Giants already have their eyes set on the upcoming season. No rest for the Giants as they already announce changes to their team for the 2017-2018 season. Long time wide-receiver Victor Cruz and running back Rashad Jennings were released from the team.

The Giants said goodbye to Victor Cruz who won super bowl XLVI with them. The seven years he spent with the team saw many wins, losses, and salsa dancing. Cruz ended on a good note with the Giants as he posted to Instagram a picture of him in his Giants gear holding the Lombardi trophy. He captioned his picture, “No long paragraph for all to read, just simply THANK YOU! To the NY Giants organization and to the amazing fans that have watched me grow up in front of their eyes. THANK YOU!”

Rashad Jenning spent three years playing with the NY Giants. He also posted a picture on Instagram thanking the Giants organization for all they have done for him. “… Remember God makes no mistakes. I humbly want to thank the entire NY Giants organization top to bottom…”

Both players respected the decision of the NY Giants, and thanked them for the experience they spent with the team. Cruz and Jennings are both currently free agents and hope to get picked up by another NFL team. As for the NY Giants, there are still seven more months until the next season and more decisions to be made.
