Villanova Beats N. Carolina in Buzzer-beater

The N.C.A.A Men’s Basketball Championship took place on April 4th with a shocking ending that neither team will ever forget. Number one seeded North Carolina took on the second seed Villanova in this much anticipated final. According the the NY Times, towards the end of the game, North Carolina scrambled back from being down 10 points. They were not ready to give up and they continued to instill fear in the Nova Wildcats. The game was all tied up within the last few seconds of the game. The scoreboard was 74-74. As the crowd continued to roar with excitement, Ryan Arcidiacono sprinted down the court with only a few seconds remaining. He passed the ball to Kris Jenkins who was waiting for the ball behind him. Jenkins shot the ball with 4.7 seconds left as the 3 pointer slowly sailed through the air. As the buzzer went off, his shot went in , making the Wildcats and all of their fans go crazy with excitement. All of the players piled on top of Jenkins to celebrate their win. Everyone from the bench rushed over to the court to join the celebration. The Nova fans all jumped up from their seats screaming on the top of their lungs. It will definitely be a championship to remember.
