I am a sophomore and this is my second year on The Beacon (but was on my middle school paper “The Spartan Press” for 3 years and was editor-in-chief for two of them prior to being on The Beacon). I love to write about events happening in our community, especially at Shore, and I really enjoy interviewing and writing interview pieces. I serve as Freshman Class President, play on the JV Field Hockey Team, and am a member of Student Council, Model UN, Mock Trial, Interact, International Club, and Great Books. I love to read (especially romance novels), listen to music (especially Taylor Swift, who is my favorite artist), and spend time with my friends. I find journalism interesting, as I love to write and I think it’s important to share what is happening around us with others.
